About Tal

Dr. Tal Oron-Gilad
I am currently the chair of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management.
My area of expertise is human factors engineering, human-automation interaction, and decision support systems in the domains of traffic safety, unmanned systems, and social assistive robotics.
In this site I publish and discuss my research interests, showcase our laboratories, and talk about recent publications.
I have a MSc. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technion, and a Ph.D. from Ben-Gurion University. Following that, I was a research associate for several years  in the Institute for Simulation and Training at the University of Central Florida.
Since 2006, I am a faculty member in Ben-Gurion University, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management.
Academic affairs
As of 2015, I am the Chair for the Industrial Engineering and Management department  in BGU, the largest IEM department in Israel with over 1000 students.
Since 2009-2016, I was the Head of the Human Factors Engineering Graduate track at BGU.
