Human-Robot Interaction

Designing resilient robots (with doctoral student Shanee Honig) – The overarching goal to develop resilient robots that provide good service to nonexpert users even when they fail. First, we aim to understand which robotic failures occur in domestic environments (RQ1), what influences the perceived severity of the failure (RQ2), and how robots can adapt to unexpected, high-impact failures (RQ3).
